Police officer on parade duty faints during CM's speech

Ranchi, Aug 15 (UNI) A Jharkhand police officer on parade duty to celebrate the 61st Indepence Day fainted in the field while Chief Minister Madhu Koda was delivering his speech.

Sergeant Major Asim Dasgupta, standing under the sun complained of uneasiness and suddenly fainted.

His colleagues on the ground rushed him to a nearby hospital in an ambulance standing outide the venue.

However, Mr Koda, who witnessed the entire incident went on with his speech.

Army jawans, NCC, CISF, JAP and Home Guards had also participated in the parade.
