Police foils Maoists attempt to blast landmine
Jamshedpur, Aug 15 (UNI) The East Singhbhum police today foiled a Naxalite attempt to blast a landmine and hoist black flag at Bodam village under Patamda police station area here.
Superintendent of Police Pankaj Darad told UNI that acting on a tip off the police team reached the spot in the early hours today and unearthed the landmine. However, the ultras managed to escape to a nearby forest, he said.
Mr Darad said police also succeeded to nab a hardcore rebel, Subhas Mahto alias Subhas Ghising, from MGM police station area last night. He said the ultra was active in the area for the past seven years.
