Panic grips Cooch Behar rly station on I-Day
Cooch Behar, Aug 15 (UNI) Panic gripped the Cooch Behar railway station of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), following the discovery of an unclaimed bag, marring the holiday mood of Independence Day among the vacationers and commuters here.
Panic struck first the securitymen, when there was no taker for the bag lying in the station's waiting room.
Railway Protection Force official said despite repeated announcements by the public address system, no one came forward to claim the bag.
The RPF jawans cordoned off the waiting room and called the bomb disposal squad and sniffer dogs from Siliguri.
However, the train services in the station were unaffected.
