Marandi kicks off campaign for JVM candidate
Jamshedpur, Aug 15 (UNI) Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) supremo and former chief minister Babulal Marandi said the result of Jamshedpur Lok Sabha by-poll is likely to change the political equation in Jharkhand.
Addressing an election rally in favour of party candidate Bikash Mukherjee at Bagbera here last evening, the first chief minister of Jharkhand said the NDA and the UPA allinaces regime in the last seven years had sent the state to a 'point of no return' and claimed the JVM could only rescue the state if it came to power.
He said the people had seen both the UPA and the NDA regimes and now the electors would give the JVM, which is leading a third front sans both the combines, a chance to run the government.
Lambasting the Madhu Koda government for its alleged failure in all fronts, he pointed out the condition of roads in the state as well as in Mr Koda's own constituency was deplorable, which reflected the state of affairs.
Mr Marandi also addressed rallies at Karandih and Sundernagar areas.
