Haryana committed for seprate gurdwara management committee
Fatehabad, Aug 15 (UNI) Haryana Agriculture Minister Harmohinder Singh Chatha said today that the issue of separate committee to manage gurdwaras of Haryana was high on list of priorities of the state government and the recent Dera Sacha Sauda row would not have any bearing on the decision of the government in this regard.
Addressing mediapersons here he said that the Chatha Committee headed by him to seek opinion of Haryana Sikhs in this regard had invited affidavits in support and against the move.
He maintained that of the two lakh affidavits were received by the government out of which 1.5 lakhs had been found valid. Not a single person had opposed the move for a separate gurdwara committee, he added.
He said that the committee would soon submit its report to the government for further action at its level.
