Five bodies recovered in HP

Shimla, Aug 15 (UNI) Five bodies were recovered at Ghanvi in Rampur Sub-division of Shimla district today.

Those recovered were out of the 65 people who were washed away in the flashflood caused by sudden cloudburst yesterday.

According to official sources, five bodies were recovered during the rescue operation that was launched today after the receeding of the water level. The deceased were identified as Kala Devi, JoytiBala, Tej Singh and his wife.

Most of those feared dead were labourers of the Ghanvi power project-II. In the flashflood, fifteen houses were washed away and 60 were partially damaged.
