Fatehabad, Aug 15 (UNI) The police today registered criminal cases against 155 Sikhs and 160 Dera Sacha Sauda followers, including 60 women, in connection with last night's brawl between them at the local Majra road.

Sikhs and followers of the dera had clashed last evening, when the dera followers were organising 'naam charcha'. The Sikhs, who had gone to stop the 'naam charcha' resorted to stone throwing on dera followers, upon their refusal to stop provocking the dera followers to retaliate. Four dera followers and a Sikh were injured in the incident.

On a complaint by a dera follower, the police registered a criminal case against the Sikhs under sections 148, 323, 295-A and 188 of the IPC.

However, the police has also registered a case against 160 unidentified dera followers for defying prohibitory orders under section 144 of the CrPC inforce in the district.

The SP Saurabh Singh, when contacted, said the process of identifying all the accused in these cases had been started and the police would soon arrest the accused.
