BSBCC donates Rs 2 crore to CM's relief funds

Patna, Aug 15 (UNI) Bihar State Bridge Construction orporation (BSBCC), a state government undertaking, today donated Rs two crore towards the Chief Minister's relief fund for the flood-ravaged areas of the state.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, receiving the cheque from BSBCC Chairman Pratyay Amrit, appreciated the gesture, adding that it was no less than a matter of pride for an organisation, on the verge of closure about 20 months back, to have managed such a turnaround.

He further encouraged the employees of the corporation to try to emulate the success of Uttar Pradesh Bridge Construction Corporation, which has earned international recognition with its untiring efforts.

Managing Director of the corporation A K Jha, Prinicipal Secretary of state Road Construction Department R K Singh and a host of other senior state government officials were present on the occasion.
