Vigilance cops seize property worth more than Rs 50 lakh
Bhubaneswar, Aug 14 (UNI) Vigilance sleuths today raided the house of Jajpur Inspector of Supplies Tikan Chandra Mohanty and seized assests worth more than Rs 50 lakh.
Vigilance offices sources here said the sleuths on the allegation of acquisition and possession of disproportionate assets by Mr Mohanty simultaneously raided his residential building at Dhenkanal town, paternal house at Kuanlo, Athagarh, father-in-law's house at Baladiabandha, Dhenkanal Sadar, brother's house at Athagarh Town, rented house at Jajpur, office at Jajpur and found the property in the name of Mr Mohanty and his family members.
During the search the cops found costly house hold articles, vehicles, gold ornaments, cash deposits in different financial institutions, a double storeyed building at Dakhinakali Road, a plot at Dakhinakali Road and a plot at Athagarh town.
The search was on till late in the evening, the sources added.
