Three policemen injured in attack by villagers

Satna, MP, Aug 14 (UNI) A Station House Officer and two constables were attacked by villagers when they reached Khokara village in this district on receiving information about illegal liquor distillation in the village and nearby areas, police said today.

Uchehra SHO Dheeraj and constables Ganesh Tiwari and Prabhat Singh were injured during the attack yesterday. All the three policemen fled the spot leaving behind their jeep, which was damaged by villagers.

A case has been registered against 19 people, including 15 women.

However, no arrests had been made thus far.
