SAP, IBM partnership to serve midsize companies

Bangalore, Aug 14 (UNI) SAP and IBM today announced new partnership to serve midsize companies in India.

According to a company release here, IBM and SAP would also team up with local technology companies in India to capture a larger pie of the rapidly growing market opportunity in serving midsize companies.

According to consultancy agency Gartner, there were 80 million small and midsize businesses worldwide, spending an estimated USDollar 450 billion a year.

SAP and IBM would focus on capturing this opportunity by bringing innovative packaged solutions to numerous industries, which included wholesale distribution, life sciences, retail, industrial machinery, construction and engineering.

These comprehensive end-to-end solutions included IBM hardware, software and services.
