NYC to go on stir against govt

Kozhikode, Aug 14 (UNI) The pro-NCP Nationalist Youth Congress (NYC) in Kerala today threatened to launch a series of agitations against the ''anti-people'' policies pursued by the CPI (M)-led Left Democratic Front Government in the state.

Talking to newspersons here, NYC All-India General Secretary Praveen Kumar told reporters that the 15-month-old government had been proved a ''total failure'' as a result of inept handling of the administration.

Accusing Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan of having no command over his colleagues, he said the ministers were taking their independent decisions bypassing the established norm of collective responsibility of the Cabinet on the day-to-day administration resulting in ''total anarchy'' in every field.

He said details of agitational programmes would be chalked at the NYC leadership meeting, to be held in Thiruvananthapuram next week.
