Minister threatens privilege motion against daily

Hyderabad, Aug 14 (UNI) Irked by a cartoon in a leading Telugu daily, Andhra Pradesh Housing Minister B Satyanarayana today threatened to move a privilege motion against the daily if it did not tender an apology in its edition tomorrow for allegedly insulting MLAs and disrespecting the august State Legislature.

Addressing a press conference here, he took great exception to the daily using in today's edition the ''elephant and blind persons'' analogy to suggest that the Legislators did not have right perception of the mining activity in the Obulapuram iron ore mines.

The comparison amounted to insulting the Legislators and causing disrespect to the State Legislature, he claimed.
