Mayawati greets people on 60th I-day
Lucknow, Aug 14 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today greeted the people of the state on the eve of the India's 60th Independence day.
In a message here, Ms Mayawati said, ''our thoughts turn in deep gratitude today to the architects of our freedom movement. It is our bounden duty to recall with respect and reverence the sacrifices made by our forefathers for the liberation of our motherland.'' ''Let us resolve to promote tolerance, unity, peace and harmony and proceed towards the goal of making India a developed nation,'' she said.
