Key ferrous and non ferrous metal price rises

Mumbai, Aug 14 (UNI) Prices of select ferrous and non-ferrous metals remained firm on brisk fresh demand from industrial users in the face of reduced stocks at various centres, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) said.

In ferrous section (per quintal), Copper heavy and its utensils rose by Rs 400 and Rs 200 respectively while brass utensils and aluminium utensils also rose by Rs 250 and Rs 50 respectively owing to strong advice from London Metal Exchange along with Delhi, Kolkata and others.

Similarly, in non ferrous metal segments (per quintal) copper wire bars, aluminium ingots and lead ingots also jumped up by Rs 200, Rs 50 and Rs 100 respectively while nickel cathode rose by Rs 30 per kg.
