Justice Sathasivam appointed SC judge

Chandigarh, Aug 14 (UNI) Justice P Sathasivam, second in seniority to the Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court here, has been appointed a judge of the Supreme Court.

According to a fax message received by the High Court, he was appointed a permanent judge of the Madras High Court on January 8, 1996 and transferred here in April this year.

He comes from Kadappanallur village in Erode district of Tamil Nadu.
