Jubilant Organosys expands Pyridines, Picolines capacity

New Delhi, Aug 14 (UNI) Chemicals and drugs maker Jubilant Organosys Ltd has augmented its capacities of Pyridines and Picolines to 42,000 TPA at itsmanufacturing facility at Gajraula in UP.

The company will also expand its Formaldehyde capacity in line with additional captive requirements, a company statement said.

''Our growth in the Pyridines segment has been fuelled by increasing demand for our products in the global markets,'' company's Chairman and Managing Director Shyam S Bhartia, and Co-Chairman and Managing Director Hari S Bhartia said.

The new capacities will come on stream by July 2008.

The augmentation is in line with the comapny's strategy of having integrated manufacturing operations. Until the additional capacity comes on stream, the company will meet its balance requirements from domestic sources, the statement added.

Jubilant Organosys Ltd has more than 150 Pyridine derivatives in its product portfolio, pharmaceutical and life science products. The company has relationships with 15 of the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies and seven out of the top 10 agro-chemical companies in this field and its products find application in about 229 APIs and 17 agro-chemicals.
