JCB India to pump in Rs 300 crore for capacity expansion

Ballabgarh, Aug 14 (UNI) As part of its capacity augmentation programme, country's leading construction equipment maker JCB India Ltd will invest Rs 300 crore to expand its capacity to 25,000 units in Ballabgarh plant.

''JCB has made an investment of Rs 200 crore in the Ballabgarh plant over the last three years and will now invest over Rs 300 crore for capacity expansion,'' company's MD Vipin Sondhi told reporters here.

The capacity of Ballabgarh plant, presently 10,000 units, will be increased by the next year-end, Mr Sondhi said.

JCB India Ltd which has a market share of 55 per cent is eyeing Y-o-Y growth of 25 per cent .

UK-based JC Bamford Excavator Ltd will fund the expansion.
