I-Day:Haryana to provide free transport for school kids

Chandigarh, Aug 14 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to provide Haryana Roadways buses free of cost to all district administration to ferry school children for participating in the cultural programmes on the occasion of the Independence Day.

Stating this here today, Transport Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala said in order to celebrate the 61th Independence Day, the Government would be providing free transportation facilities as a gift to the school children.

This facility would specially be provided on the occasion of the Independence Day and the Republic Day functions, he added.

The Minister said in order to celebrate these two national festivals, the General Managers of Haryana roadways would provide free transportation facilities to the participating school children.
