Haryana attracts Rs 28,000 cr investment
Chandigarh, Aug 14 (UNI) Haryana attracted investment to the tune of about Rs 28,000 crore during the last two-and-a-half years while projects with an investment of over Rs 60,000 crore are in the pipeline.
This was stated by Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda while laying the foundation stone of the extension of the JCB plant at Ballabhgarh in Faridabad today.
He said JCB would invest Rs 300 crore on the extension work of this plant.
The Haryana government, he said, had adopted a multi-pronged strategy to attract investments on large scale for making the state number one in all spheres of development in the country.
He said the special focus had been laid on provision of best of the infrastructure, simplification of rules and regulations governing industry, efficient institutional mechanism and incentives to the industry, especially in the backward areas of the state.
He said all these steps had helped in creating conducive environment for attracting investments. These policy initiatives had started showing encouraging results, he added.
