Governor greets people on Independence day
Lucknow, Aug 14 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Governor T V Rajeshwar today greeted the people on the eve of Independence day.
The Governor said this 6ist Independence Day holds more significance as it also happens to be 150th anniversary of India's first war of Independence.
He emphasized the need of remembering the great heroes of 1857, who sacrificed their life for freedom of the nation.
Mr Rajeshwar in his message appealed to all sections of society to rise above the narrow sectarian considerations like communalism, casteism and regionalism.
He
further
said,
''to
build
up
an
ideal
India,
we
need
to
rededicate
ourselves
for
preservation
of
unity
and
integrity
of
the
nation
with
a
sense
of
duty
and
dedication.''
