CPI(ML) protests Indo-US civil nuclear deal

Lucknow, Aug 14 (UNI) Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) today staged a protest in front of the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha here against the Indo-US nuclear deal.

CPI(ML) polit bureau member Akhilendra Pratap Singh observed that there was nothing new in yesterday's statement of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the contentious issue.

He noted that the deal could not be accepted at any cost, since it was a document of slavery for India.

The Left leader demanded the resignation of the PM and scrapping of the deal.
