Contract with private hospitals providing free treatment to poor

Ujjain, MP, Aug 14 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Government would seriously consider entering into a contract for implementing government schemes in those private hospitals that are interested in providing free treatment to poor.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while inaugurating a private hospital here yesterday, said the government was serious about implementing Deendayal Antodaya Upchar Yojana, Janani Suraksha Yojna and other important schemes in private hospitals provided it gave free treatment to poor.

Pointing out that the government was committed to providing better medical facilities to the weakest sections, he said several welfare schemes had been implemented in government hospitals.

Mr Chouhan said mobile health units had been started in several districts so that treatment could be provided to affected in rural areas.
