City to receive less rains for the next two days
Kolkata, Aug 14 (UNI) Braving the heavy downpour and severe water-loggings for the last two days, the Kolkatans might get some respite as the weathermen forecast less rains for the next 48 hours.
Alipore Met Director G C Debnath said there would be slight rains in the city during the next two days.
However, the North Bengal, including Darjeeling, might receive heavy to very heavy rains as the Monsoon is active there, Mr Debnath said adding the last two days of heavy showers were the effect of the depression over coastal Orissa and West Bengal.
About 96 mm rainfall was recorded yesterday, he said.
