Bush, PM talks on phone, review Nulear deal

New Delhi, Aug 14 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and US President George Bush today had a telephonic conversation and reviewed the status of Indo-US relations in several areas, including civil nuclear energy cooperation.

They also expressed satisfaction at the mutually-beneficial and cordial nature of relations between the two countries.

The US President, who called the Prime Minister to express greetings of the Government and people of the US on the 60th Anniversary of India's Independence, also conveyed his Administration's sympathies on the recent floods in India.

While thanking the US President, the Prime Minister said India was well on the way to fulfilling the dreams and aspirations of its founding fathers and of its people, a spokesman of the External Affairs Ministry said here this evening.
