Any party is welcome to support my government: CM

Panaji, Aug 14 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat today said he was ready to welcome any other party supporting his government.

In an informal chat with mediapersons at Raj Bhavan after SGF chief Churchil Alemao was sworn in as minister this evening, the Chief Minister said he would welcome any party that comes forward to support his government.

He confirmed having allocated the PWD portfolio to Mr Churchil.

The MGP and an independent (Anil Salgaoncar) are now sailing with the BJP-led Goa Democratic Front with the UGDP and SGF, who forged the alliance, deserting the coalition in support of the government.

Meanwhile, the MGP leaders who returned from New Delhi, said they would take appropriate decision after the Supreme Court disposes the case they had filed against the Speaker.
