Album of patriotic songs to be released tomorrow
Bhopal, Aug 14 (UNI) A unique audio album comprising 160 patriotic songs in various languages -- including Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu, Awadhi, Bengali and Marathi besides local dialects of Madhya Pradesh -- sung between 1857 to 1947 would be released on the occasion of Independence Day.
State Culture Department undertaking Swaraj Sansthan's Director Sriram Tiwari told reporters here today that the album, containing 15 audio CDs, would be released during 'Jashn-e-Jamhuriyat' programme at Ravindra Bhawan here tomorrow.
Renowned Ghazal singer and Padam Shree awardee Hariharan would render his performance during the programme.
Governor Balram Jakhar, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Culture Minister Lakshmikant Sharma would be present on the occasion.
He said songs had been compiled probably for the first time in this form in the country.
Mr Tiwari said these patriotic songs had been compiled under pleasant titles such as Vande Matram, Priyatam Hindustan, Kaise Rang Bharun, Dekhna hai jor kitana, Tantya Bheel bado lareyya, Payam-e-azadi, Utho Bharat hua prabhat, Sare jahan se achha, Sir badhen kafanwa, Jan garajaye, Ab to kuch karan he etc.
''National Song Vande Matram has been compiled in 32 forms.
Besides, musical rendition of poems of martyr Pandit Ramprasad Bismil has been presented,'' said Mr Tiwari.
The compilation includes poems by eminent poets Nazeer Akbarabadi and Maithalisharan Gupt besides certain songs centered on various public leaders from Madhya Pradesh.
