2 children killed in water tank collapse

Ujjain, Aug 14 (UNI) Two children were killed on the spot and another injured when a water tank collapsed at a 'madarsa' at Byavra village in Tarana tahsil of Ujjain district this morning, police said.

The 'madarsa' inmates were engaged in ablutions (wuzu) before the morning prayer when the water tank collapsed.

Police said Salman and Aslam, both aged 12, were killed.

13-year-old Aklaq, who was injured, had been admitted to the district hospital.

There are 85 inmates at the madarsa.
