158 civilians cross LoC to meet family members

Jammu, Aug 14 (UNI) As many as 158 civilians crossed the Line of Control (LoC) at Chakkan-Da-Bagh in bordering district of Poonch which was opened for the members of divided families from both the sides of Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) last evening, official sources said here today.

As many as 69 persons crossed over to PoK, while 89, including 23 from Jammu and Kashmir, came to this side, including 52 civilians from PoK.

In order to facilitate the travel of visitors on either side, district authorities at Poonch had deputed GM, DIC Matloob Khan and SP (DAR) Poonch, Mohammad Shabir.

From Pakistan side, Pravez Yaqoob, Designated authority Hazira (PoK) was deputed at the LoC point for the exchange process.
