Youth engraves Holy Quran on aluminium sheet and on India's map
Kolkata, Aug 13 (UNI) Now the "Sura-e-Kahaf" of the Holy Quran is on a different platter.
A youth from the city, who had already got an entry in the LIMCA Book of World records in 2006 for his miniature writing, had engraved "Sura-e-Kahaf" (Quranic verse) in India's map on aluminium sheet.
Talking to UNI today, Shiraj Hussain said, " I have engraved full Quran on aluminium sheet (sized 10x12 inch in 230 pages, including both sides) first time in whole world within six months only, for which I have got an entry in the LIMCA Book of World records in the edition 2006 on page no 30. " " Just the same way, this time I've engraved "Sura-e-Kahaf" of the Holy Quran in the map of India (sized 20x24 inch) on an aluminium sheet, " an exuberant Hussain informed.
The 38 year-old youth claimed that nobody in the world had ever made an attempt of engraving Quranic verses in a country's map so far.
He wished to present this holy piece to former President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, industrialist Ratan Tata and other biggies of India.
Mr Hussain said, " I have been to the offices of Dr Kalam, Dr Manmohan Singh and Ms Sonia Gandhi to present my miniature piece but unfortunately because of their tight schedule, I couldn't make it to them. " Asked whether he would take second attempt to present his 'unique gift' to them, he replied he had got an appointment with some of them after August 15.
Hussain, an MA in Urdu literature from Calcutta University, started engraving full Quran on aluminium sheet from July 18, 2003 and successfully completed it on February 02, 2004 for which he made an entry in the LIMCA Book of World records.
