Sitting MLA from Gujarat held for attack on ex-MLA in 2005

Junagadh, Aug 13 (UNI) Dinubhai Bogabhai Solanki, sitting BJP MLA from the Kodinar constituency in the district, was arrested for allegedly attacking a former-MLA and his supporters in 2005.

Solanki was arrested last afternoon.

''In 2005, Dinubhai and his men had attacked the former MLA Virasinh Barad and his men. A complaint in this regard was filed by Virasinh. We had arrested 11 men of Dinubhai at that time. There is also a complaint against Dinubhai under the Arms Act,'' said Mohan Kumar Jha, Inspector General of South Saurashtra range while speaking to UNI.

Personal secretary of Dinubhai said he was not arrested but had surrendered himself to the police.

UNI
