RRS activists stage demonstration against Sethu Samudram project

Gulbarga, Aug 13 (UNI) More than 100 Ramasethu Rakhana Samithi (RRS) activists, including district BJP leaders, today staged demonstration as part of nation-wide call to protest against the Sethu Samudram Project.

The agitators have posted 1000 post cards to the President of India Pratiba Patil urging her to intervene and direct stop of the drudging operations of Sethu Samudram which would destroy the mythical bridge of Ramasethu.

They submitted memorandums, addressed to the Prime Minister and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, through the Deputy Commissioner appealing them to stop the project and not to hurt the sentiments of the people.
