Poacher shot dead in exchange of fire

Mysore, Aug 13 (UNI) One poacher was shot dead and a forest guard injured in an exchange of fire at Gundre-Beguru forest area.

According to the forest officials, a ten-member poacher gang from the nearby Sultan Bateri on Kerala border opened shots last night on seeing the forest guards forcing them to retaliate.

In the gunfire a poacher was killed while forest guard Nagaraju, sustained serious injuries and was admitted to H D Kote Hospital.
