Panther's activists hang Azad's effigy
Jammu, Aug 13 (UNI) Agitated National Panthers Party activists today hanged the effigy of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad at Ambphalla Chowk, in front of District Jail.
Terming Congress-led coalition government ''Chengez Khan rule'', the Panthers activists, headed by Jammu District urban chief Sanjay Sharma, raised slogans against the lathicharge on Talwara migrants, particularly women including party general secretary Anita Thakur, who were peacefully marching in Katra last week.
Over thousands of activists gathered in front of Ambphalla District jail and hanged the Chief Minister in effigy. Party activists reiterated their demand of a judicial inquiry into the incident.
The activists also demanded the implementation of the Supreme Court order in which State and the Central Government were clearly directed to pay the relief to Jammu migrants both in cash and kind.
