One dead, 2 injured in house collapse incidents in Jammu
Jammu, Aug 13 (UNI) At least one boy was buried alive and two others injured as 13 houses collapsed due to flash floods and heavy rains in Kathua, Udhampur and Rajouri districts of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.
Kannu Niyal (5) died in a house collapse, caused due to heavy rains at Deoli village, near Billawar Tehsil of Kathua district last night, the sources said.
The body was later recovered and handed over to his family.
eight houses caved in as flash floods swept a village in Manano in Samba district last night. No loss of life or injury to anyone was reported as authorities had evacuated the village before the flash floods.
A house collapsed due to heavy rains in Sokha Talab in Ramnagar area of Udhampur district last night, the sources said, adding two women, Ambho Devi and her daughter, Rekhoo Devi were injured and later hospitalised.
Two houses collapsed in Dharhal area of Rajouri district, they added.
