Kidnappers throw child in the Saryu river
Chapra, Aug 13 (UNI) Ten-year-old school student Narayan Kumar, who was abducted on Saturday last, was thrown into the swollen Saryu river near here by the abductors and efforts are on to trace him.
Informing this, Superintendent of Police Sanjay Singh here today said altogetheir five people, including the abducted child's uncle Bhim Singh and some other relatives, had been arrested in this connection.
Following their interrogation, it was revealed that the gory act was committed yesterday.
Claiming that the child was kidnapped because of family dispute, Mr Singh said Narayan was first taken to Uttar Pradesh after he was kidnapped but later was brought back here.
Meanwhile, Mr Singh said divers had been pressed into service in the Saryu river to trace the boy.
