Mathura, Aug 13 (UNI) The essence of the holy month of 'shrawan' pervades the 'Braj' region with the start of 'Jhoolanotsav' from August 15.

The rituals and the sound in temples create a regligious ambience all around.

District Magistrate Anita Meshram said tight security arrangements have been made at important temples here. Plain clothed securitymen had also been deployed in the temple town.

Two silver and one gold 'hindolas' are put at the much reverred Dwarikasheesh temple.

Rajbhog Seva Adhikari at the Banke Bihari temple Anand Kishore Goswami said a multi-crore jewel incrusted 'hindola' had been put up this time, which is 60 years old but has not lost its lustre.

Gold and silver lifesize models would be put around the hindola for decoration and to add colour to the celebrations.

Temple manager Mohan Vallabh Gautam said devotees can have 'darshan' of the hindola from 1700 hrs to midnight.

The temples here are sporting clean look and have been tastefully decorated.

Thousands of devotees are expected to congregate in the temple town like past years during the current month of 'shrawan'.
