Jats to shun Cong, BJP for next Assembly polls in Rajasthan
Bikaner, Aug 13 (UNI) Queering the already complex caste pitch in Rajasthan, Jats have decided not to align with either BJP or Congress in the next Assembly elections secheduled for December next year.
Stating this here, Rajasthan Jat Mahasabha state president Rajaram Meel clarified that Jats this time will align with the forces which will work for uplift of villages, poor and farmers.
Denying that the Jats were already firming up their strategy for the coming Assembly polls, he said they were only protesting against anti-people polices.
Mr Meel said both the Congress and BJP pursue policies which are not beneficial for the poor who reside in the villages. The Jats want that there should be no discrimination on the basis of caste and creed.
Taking a dig at the ruling BJP, he said all sections of people were unhappy with this government. There was no law and order in the state and the bureaucracy was exploiting the people.
