Infant found abandoned in trash can

Coimbatore, Aug 13 (UNI) A five-day-old baby boy was found abandoned in a trash can at Selvapuram near Periyanaickan Palayam, about 20 Km from the city, today.

According to police, a Head Constable heard the infant's cries from the dustbin and rescued him.

He took the baby to the Coimbatore Medical College (CMC) Hospital in the city, where doctors said the baby was healthy.
