Indo-Pak talks on Tulbul Navigation Project on Aug 30-31
New Delhi, Aug 13 (UNI) India and Pakistan will hold talks on the Tulbul Navigation Project under the Composite Dialogue Process (CDP) here on August 30-31.
Secretaries of the Ministries of Water Resources will meet for yet another round of negotiations to resolve the decades-old problem about the project on Jhelum River in Jammu and Kashmir which India calls Tulbul Navigation Project and Pakistan Wullar Barrage.
India proposed to build the barrage in 1984 on River Jhelum near Sopore in North Kashmir.
However, Pakistan says the project violates the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty between the two countries.
