India, Syria hold consultations
New Delhi, Aug 13 (UNI) India and Syria today exchanged views on the West Asia situation and various matters of bilateral interest.
Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Al-Moualem, who arrived here today on a three-day official visit, met External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and held discussions on a wide variety of issues including regional and international situation.
The Syrian Foreign Minister is discussing various aspects of bilateral relations with the Indian leaders.
''The visit is part of regular bilateral consultations between India and Syria on matters of mutual interest,'' an External Affairs Ministry spokesman said.
