High alert in Haryana
Ambala, Aug 13 (UNI) Haryana was put on high alert ahead of Independence day in view of threat letters, police said today.
While talking to mediapersons at the War Heroes Memorial Stadium Ambala Cantonment, State Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) B B Singh said security had been beefed up at public places like bus stands, railway stations and religious places.
Mr Singh was here to take stock of the security arrangements made by the district administration in view of the visit of chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on the occasion of hoisting of the national flag on the Independence Day function at Ambala Cantonment on August 15.
