Hearing on cases against Maudhany adjourned to Sept 10

Kochi, Aug 13 (UNI) A court today adjourned till September 10 the hearing on cases against People's Democratic Party(PDP) leader Abdul Nasser Maudhany.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Cherian P Kuriakose adjourned hearing on 21 cases against Maudhany for offences under the Arms Act and inciting communal passions through inflammatory speeches.

The cases had been pending in different courts in Kerala and had been clubbed together before the Ernakulam magistrate's court by the Kerala High Court.

After serving nine years, Maudhany was released from the Coimbatore Central Prison on August 1 following his acquittal in the Coimbatore serial bomb blasts case.
