HC issues notices to NCW
New Delhi, Aug 13 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today issued notices to the National Commission for Women (NCW) to submit the inquiry report relating to sexual exploitation of a Lok Jan Shakti Party member by the OSD to Union Chemical and Fertilizer Minister Ram Vilas Paswan.
Justice S N Dhingra refused to issue notices to Mr Paswan as he wanted to hear the petitioner in person on the next date of hearing.
The court directed petitioner K Kanchan Krishna to remain present in the court on the next date of hearing.
According to Kanchan, she and her friend Supriya were physically assaulted by R P Rathi, OSD to Mr Paswan, when they went to meet him in a hotel in Nagpur in connection with the transfer of Supriya.
Kanchan has demanded a CBI inquiry against the OSD.
According to her, the case was brought to the notice of Mr Paswan and he had assured her to take an action against the accused, but no action has been taken so far.
She had filed a complaint with the NCW but found the inquiry by the Commission not satisfactory .
The court has ordered the NCW to produce the inquiry report in the court.
