German Bundestag delegation to witness Independence Day

Amritsar, Aug 13 (UNI) A 14-member delegation of the German Bundestag would be the guest of honour at the 60th Independence Day celebrations at the Guru Nanak stadium here.

The delegation is being led by Mr Norbert Lammert, president of the Bundestag, which is equivalent to the Indian Parliament, an official release today said.

The delegation will also pay obeisance at the Golden Temple and homage to the maryrs of the 1919 massacre at the historic Jallianwala Bagh.
