Dy High Commissioner visits TN state planning commission

Chennai, Aug 13 (UNI) British Deputy High Commissioner Creon Butler today visited Tamil Nadu State Planning Commision to discuss the improving economic ties between the United Kingdom and Tamil Nadu.

State Planning Commission Vice Chairman M Naganathan and other officials explained the approach to the state's 11th plan and other aspects of the department.

During the discussion, Mr Butler assured that UK would extend its help to Tamil Nadu to achieve higher economic growth and environment protection.

Mr Naganathan also explained the socio-economic programmes being implemented by the present regime under Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.
