Delhi court issues production warrant against Jagtar Hawara

New Delhi, Aug 13 (UNI) A local court today issued a production warrant for August 27 against Jagtar Singh Hawara, who has been awarded the death sentence in the assassination of Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh, for his alleged involvement in the Satyam and Liberty cinema blast cases.

Hawara had been barred by the Punjab and Haryana High Court from leaving Chandigarh, till the trial in the Beant Singh case was over.

While the trial of other accused in the October 2005 twin blasts at city's Liberty and Satyam cinema halls, has begun, Hawara's had been pending for this ban on his movement.

One person was killed and 70 were injured in the explosions that rocked the city in May 2005.

The matter today came up in the court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sanjiv Jain who issued the production warrant against Hawara.
