Corporation Bank Officers demonstrate against management

Mangalore, Aug 13 (UNI) Officers of the Corporation Bank today held a demonstration in front of the Bank Headquarters here alleging that the management has violated bilateral agreement.

The members of Officers' Organisation (CBOO), who had assembled to attend a two-day 17th Triennial All India Conference and General Body Meeting of CBOO, shouted slogans against the management.

Addressing the members CBOO President T R Bhat alleged that the management has violated transfer policy mutually agreed at the time of signing the agreement 18 years back and amended many a time as desired by the management.

He said that the management even now issuing transfer orders in gross violation of transfer rules. In respect of promotion policy, the management had violated the clause regarding waitlist for promotion from scale II to III and there was no provision for maintaining a waitlist.

He charged that while the management had no respect for a settled policy, it also did not respect the government guidelines in respect of the mandatory rural and semi-urban service.

The members demonstrating outside the gate of the bank were not initially allowed enter into the building. However, later they were allowed inside the building.
