Clerical staff trapped for taking bribe in Bhagalpur

Patna, Aug 13 (UNI) Bihar state vigilance bureau today arrested a clerk posted at the office of Bhagalpur education officer while accepting bribe of Rs five thousand.

Bureau sources here said retired teacher Bhairav Chaudhry had complained that he was not given his due payment after the retirement as Jitendra Prasad, a clerk in district education office, was demanding a bribe of Rs five thousand. The bureau found the allegation true and arrested Mr Prasad red handed.

The clerk would be produced in a special court here tomorrow.
