BEEO chargesheeted in bribery case

Patna, Aug 13 (UNI) The State Vigilance Investigation Bureau today submitted a chargesheet in a special court in bribery case against former Block Education Extension Officer(BEEO) Surya Kant Singh.

The chargesheet was submitted in the court of special vigilance judge S K Panwar by the bureau, under various sections of prevention of corruption act.

Mr Singh was presently posted as a lecturer in a primary school education college Pirainta in Bhojpur district.

According to the charges, the accused was arrested by vigilance sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 23,000 from a teacher for allotment of school for his posting on June 28.

The accused was in jail since June 29.
